Iansan Teaser Debut and Varesa Reveal in Genshin Impact 5.5

Author : Liam Jun 03,2025

Genshin Impact’s developers have begun teasing the introduction of a brand-new character in update 5.5, and as expected, miHoYo (HoYoverse) is keeping its fans on edge with the official reveals coming in slowly. Insider leaks have already given away significant details, including concept art and gameplay previews, leaving fans buzzing with excitement.

The star of the show this time around is Varesa, a highly anticipated 5-star Electro character who wields a Catalyst. Her personality is as vibrant as her abilities promise to be—described as carefree and easygoing, she’s often seen wandering around like a child on an adventure, always in search of delightful treats or a cozy resting spot. However, don’t let her laid-back demeanor fool you; when it comes to battling Abyss monsters, she transforms into an unstoppable force, proving her worth as a formidable ally.

Joining Varesa in update 5.5 is Iansan, making her debut as a playable character after being an NPC for quite some time. Iansan is a 4-star Electro character who wields a Polearm. Known as Natlan’s top trainer, she’s credited with honing Varesa’s talents. Iansan’s approach to training is inclusive, ensuring that even those who aren’t naturally inclined toward physical activity can benefit from her guidance. In fact, she’s actively recruiting new students, eager to share her expertise with others.
