If you’re a fan of Japanese music, you're no stranger to HYDE. This legendary artist, who has graced the stage at Madison Square Garden and sold over 40 million records, is now the star of a thrilling new endless runner game. Called Hyde Run, it has officially launched worldwide today.
Originally released in Japan, Hyde Run is now accessible to players around the globe. According to Phoenixx, the game's developer and publisher, this release offers global fans a unique way to immerse themselves in HYDE's musical journey through a game rich with references to his illustrious career.
Move, Jump, or Slide in Hyde Run
In Hyde Run, you'll embody HYDE as you dash through a dynamic concert stage and a futuristic rendition of Tokyo. The game challenges you to navigate Neo Tokyo at breakneck speeds, evading obstacles, performing wall-runs past vibrant billboards, and collecting musical notes.
Unlike typical endless runners, Hyde Run infuses the excitement of a guitar solo and HYDE-specific fan service into its gameplay, creating a unique, neon-infused experience. As you race through the city, you can snatch various power-ups, such as magnets that attract notes to you or barriers that shield you from harm.
Before each run, you can equip items to enhance your performance. Use a Note Gain to increase your note collection or opt for a Barrier to avoid tripping over obstacles. Additionally, you can gather crystals to unlock exclusive HYDE-inspired outfits and room decor, as well as voice clips from HYDE himself through the Microphone Stand feature.

There’s More Stuff in the Game to Do
Hyde Run also lets you personalize HYDE's room within the game, filled with memorabilia spanning his 20-year career, including old tour gear and more obscure references. Hidden items throughout the game unlock special messages and voice notes from HYDE, adding a personal touch to the experience.
Currently, there's limited-time content available until June 10th, 2025. The THE LAST ROCKSTARS Costume Set features HYDE in the iconic outfit from the music video, complete with matching ROCK Furniture like leopard prints, vintage trunks, and stage spotlights. For a more relaxed summer vibe, the Bat Jinbei Costume Set offers a festival-inspired look, while a traditional Japanese-style furniture set includes bamboo, bonboris, and a wind chime modeled after HYDE's Edyh character.
