Master the art of dual outfitting in Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered! This guide explains how to combine the benefits of two outfits, boosting your combat capabilities. Note that this method requires the Remastered version; it's unavailable in the original game.
Key Requirements:
- Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered: This feature is exclusive to the remastered edition.
- Specific Second Outfit: While your primary outfit is your choice, the second must be one of the following Banuk Werak outfits:
- Banuk Werak Runner
- Banuk Werak Chieftain
- Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept (New Game+ only)
- Frozen Wilds DLC Access: These outfits are located within the Frozen Wilds DLC. You don't need to complete the main game to access this area.
Obtaining the Banuk Werak Outfits:
Banuk Werak Runner:
- Reach the Frozen Wilds expansion area by defeating the initial machine (adjust difficulty if needed).
- Locate a Bluegleam Merchant (marked with a blue merchant icon).
- Purchase the Banuk Werak Runner outfit. Resource costs vary by difficulty.
Resource | Normal Cost | Ultra Hard Cost |
---|---|---|
Metal Shards | 1000 | 5000 |
Desert Glass | 10 | 20 |
Slagshine Glass | 10 | 20 |
Banuk Werak Chieftain & Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept:
- Complete the "For the Werak" quest (Frozen Wilds' third main quest). Consider lowering the difficulty if needed.
- The Adept version is obtainable only in New Game+ via the same method.
Combining Outfit Effects:
- Equip your desired primary outfit – this provides your desired stats (enhance stats with Weaves if desired).
- Utilize the transmog feature to apply the appearance of one of the three Banuk Werak outfits.
This allows you to retain your primary outfit's stats while gaining the passive auto-healing effect of the Banuk Werak outfit. The Chieftain and Chieftain Adept offer significantly faster healing than the Runner. Combining this with a high-defense outfit like the Shield-Weaver makes you incredibly resilient.
