HandyGames Announces Way of the Hunter: Wild America CBT for Mobile

Way of the Hunter: Wild America is coming to mobile devices, bringing its expansive open-world hunting experience to your phone. PC players will recognize the acclaimed gameplay, originally released in August 2022 by Nine Rocks Games and published by THQ Nordic and HandyGames.

Will the Mobile Version Be Complete?

While some graphical adjustments are expected given the limitations of mobile hardware compared to PCs, the core gameplay and all DLC will be included post-launch. Currently in beta testing, the mobile port is slated for release soon. HandyGames has announced a closed beta test via a signup form on their official X (formerly Twitter) account.

Is This the Ultimate Hunting Simulator?

Way of the Hunter challenges players with realistic hunting mechanics, requiring patience and strategic thinking. Animals behave naturally, reacting to your presence. The game boasts a massive 55-square-mile hunting ground inspired by real-world locations in the USA and Europe.

Authentic hunting weapons, from rifles to bows, are available. Detailed tracking features, including blood splatter analysis, aid in locating trophies. See the game in action below:

The game's ecosystem is dynamic; your actions have consequences. Overhunting in one area will force animals to relocate. An in-game economy allows you to sell harvested meat to purchase better equipment, hunting licenses, and taxidermy trophies for your lodge. Both campaign and co-op modes are featured, and the mobile version will include full controller support.
