Hades 2 Marks One Year in Early Access

Approaching the Full Launch

According to their recent Twitter (X) post, Hades 2 has now spent a full year in early access, beginning on May 6, 2024. Developer Supergiant commemorated this anniversary by expressing gratitude to the community for their ongoing support and confirming that the game is progressing steadily toward its full release.

The studio shared, "It's been an incredibly thrilling and enlightening journey as we continue to unlock the potential so many of you recognize in our game. We appreciate all your input and patience as we near the finish line!"

Like its predecessor, Hades, this sequel is following a similar early access model. The original game spent 22 months in early access before its official launch, but Supergiant appears poised to deliver Hades 2's full version more quickly, starting with its timed exclusive debut on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Initial Launch on Nintendo Switch 2

Hades 2 Full Release Getting “Closer to the Finish Line”

During an episode of Nintendo's Creator’s Voice series, Supergiant confirmed Hades 2 will arrive first on the Nintendo Switch 2. With the Switch 2 scheduled for release on June 5, players can anticipate Hades 2 to launch around that time at the earliest.

The game follows the acclaimed god-like rogue-like that captivated fans worldwide. The developers noted this is Supergiant Games' first-ever sequel, acknowledging that creating follow-up titles demands "a great deal of fear and respect."

Hades 2 remains in early access and is scheduled to debut first on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch, with a PC version to follow later. For continuous updates about the game's development, explore our detailed coverage below!
