Google Pixel 9 Pro XL Slashed to Record Low Price at Amazon, Best Buy

Author : Daniel May 07,2025

When it comes to Android smartphones, the Google Pixel line stands out as a top contender. The Pixel 9 series, released last year, boasts one of the most impressive cameras available on any smartphone, complemented by engaging AI features that enhance user interaction. The "Pro" models of the Pixel 9 series are particularly noteworthy for their value, offering a compelling alternative to iPhones at a competitive price point.

Currently, if you're considering an upgrade, both Amazon and Best Buy have slashed the price of the Pixel 9 Pro XL to an unprecedented low. The flagship model from the latest generation is now priced below the lowest price we've ever seen for the standard Pixel 9, which was recorded just last week.

This is the lowest price we've seen since the phone's launch last year, matching the record low of the regular Pixel 9 at $599 and undercutting last month's best price by $200. This deal presents an exceptional opportunity to snag a premium unlocked Android phone at a significantly reduced cost.

The key difference between the Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 9 Pro XL lies in their screen sizes; the XL model features a larger 6.8-inch display. Both models are powered by the Google Tensor G4 chip, ensuring robust performance across the board.

What We Said in Our Review

Although we didn't review the XL model, our mobile expert Mark Knapp reviewed the Pixel 9 Pro at its launch last year. Here's a summary of his insights:

"The Pixel 9 Pro excels as a camera phone, with its array of sensors and advanced Pro controls making it a versatile tool for photography enthusiasts and casual users alike. It also performs well as a general smartphone, capable of handling everyday tasks and even some demanding gaming. While it may not match the raw performance of devices like the OnePlus 12 or Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, it's unlikely you'll notice significant limitations in typical use. Google's AI features could be more integrated and impactful, but these software limitations don't detract from the Pixel 9 Pro's overall quality. Its superior hardware, elegant design, and compact size make it an attractive choice for those seeking a smaller phone with minimal compromises."

When Is the Next Line of Pixel Phones Coming Out?

If you're holding out for the next generation of Pixel phones, you'll need to wait a bit longer. The Pixel 10 series is expected to launch in August or early September, aligning with the typical release schedule ahead of new iPhone launches. If you're looking to maximize savings, keep an eye out for the biggest discounts on the Pixel 9 series around Prime Day in July. However, it's unlikely that the price of the Pixel 9 Pro XL will drop lower than the current offer.
