Marvel Studios has unveiled a brand-new trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, packed with never-before-seen footage.
The preview showcases The Thing sporting a rocky beard while being carried aloft by Human Torch. Viewers also get expanded glimpses of Mister Fantastic stretching his abilities, Invisible Woman demonstrating more powers, and slight additional teases of Galactus - though the cosmic entity's full reveal remains withheld.
The trailer provides our clearest look yet at Silver Surfer, complete with metallic voice heralding Galactus' arrival. A recurring gag features The Thing continuously avoiding his iconic "It's clobberin' time!" catchphrase.
The revelation of The Thing's beard raises intriguing questions about the film's timeline. Given we've previously seen the character clean-shaven, the stony facial hair suggests significant passage of time. This prompts fascinating discussions among fans: Can Ben Grimm actually shave? How would that process work? The rock beard mystery adds another layer to the film's narrative structure.
Supporting this extended timeline theory, we see Sue Storm at different stages - including before and after giving birth to Franklin Richards. Marvel Studios still maintains plenty of surprises, holding back full reveals of both characters' powers and the primary antagonist.
Pedro Pascal's interpretation of Reed Richards shows brief demonstrations of stretching abilities but keeps most powers under wraps. Similarly, while we get partial glimpses of Galactus - including his awakening sequence and towering presence in an alternate New York - the character's full visage remains unseen.
