"Elden Ring: Two New Classes Added in Nintendo Switch 2 Tarnished Edition"

Author : Gabriella May 15,2025

Elden Ring is making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2 with the highly anticipated Tarnished Edition. This version promises to deliver not only the core experience that fans love but also introduces exciting new content, including new character classes and appearances for the beloved steed, Torrent.

During the "FROMSOFTWARE GAMES EVENT Spring 2025" held in Tokyo on May 6, as reported by Famitsu, FromSoftware unveiled some intriguing details about what players can expect from Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition. Among the highlights are two new character classes: the "Knight of Ides" and "Heavy Armored Knight." While specifics about these classes remain under wraps, they are part of four new armor sets, with the other two available to unlock in-game. Additionally, new weapons and skills were teased, adding more depth to the already expansive world of Elden Ring.

For fans of Torrent, the spirit horse, there's good news: three new appearances will be available. These enhancements will be included in the Tarnished Edition, which also encompasses the Shadow of the Erdtree content. Furthermore, FromSoftware has confirmed that these additions will be accessible on other platforms through the Tarnished Pack DLC, which they promise will be priced affordably, according to RPG Site.

The introduction of new classes is particularly appealing, especially for players starting fresh on the Switch 2. It offers a chance to experience Elden Ring with a new twist, which might attract those who have already explored the game on other platforms.

Elden Ring has achieved phenomenal success, surpassing 30 million sales worldwide. This monumental milestone underscores the game's massive appeal and suggests that its arrival on the Switch 2 could further boost its already impressive numbers.

While an exact release date for Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition on the Nintendo Switch 2 and the Tarnished Pack DLC has not yet been announced, both are slated to launch sometime in 2025. Fans of the series can look forward to diving into this enriched version of the critically acclaimed game.
