Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero Confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2 by Saudi Ratings Board

Author : Isabella May 28,2025

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has been rated for the Nintendo Switch 2, hinting at its arrival on the new console before any official announcement. Although there's no direct confirmation yet, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation, as noted by the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, suggests otherwise.

"Experience the fighting action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring 3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices," the tweet stated before being removed, confirming a 12+ rating.

PlayDragon Ball: Sparking! Zero elevates the iconic gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series to new heights, offering "an incredible number" of playable characters, each with unique abilities, transformations, and techniques.

In our IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review, we awarded it a 7/10, stating: "Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a final flash from the past, sometimes to a fault, but the feeling of traveling back to a simpler time when games didn’t have to be balanced or competitive to be fun is still a good one."

Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders opened on April 24, maintaining a price of $449.99 — and they sold out quickly, as expected. On the same day, Nintendo issued a warning to U.S. customers who pre-ordered from the My Nintendo Store, noting that release date delivery couldn't be guaranteed due to overwhelming demand.
