Atomfall: New Gameplay Trailer Unveils Post-Apocalyptic England

Rebellion Developments' upcoming first-person survival game, Atomfall, receives an extensive gameplay showcase in a new seven-minute trailer. Set in an alternate 1960s England devastated by nuclear war, Atomfall offers a compelling blend of exploration, crafting, and combat reminiscent of titles like Fallout and STALKER.

The trailer highlights key gameplay features:

  • Exploration: Players will navigate hazardous quarantine zones, desolate villages, and mysterious research bunkers.
  • Crafting: Resource scavenging is paramount, allowing players to craft essential healing items, explosives (Molotov cocktails, sticky bombs), and more. A metal detector aids in uncovering hidden supplies.
  • Combat: A mix of melee and ranged combat awaits, featuring upgradeable weapons (initially shown are a cricket bat, revolver, shotgun, and bolt-action rifle). The potential for a wider arsenal is hinted at.
  • Skill Progression: Unlockable skills are categorized into melee, ranged combat, survival, and conditioning, allowing for character customization.

Initially revealed during Xbox's Summer Game Fest showcase, Atomfall will launch on March 27th for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. The trailer concludes with a promise of another in-depth video soon, urging fans to follow Rebellion's social media for updates. The game's intriguing premise and day-one Game Pass inclusion have already generated significant player anticipation.
