Ubisoft Mainz has recently provided exciting new insights into *Anno 117: Pax Romana* through a captivating trailer release. Initially announced to feature exploration in two distinct regions, Lazio and Albion, the preview suggests that players will start their journey in the peaceful region of Lazio before being thrust into the main setting of Albion.
Creative Director Manuel Rainer explained that Lazio serves as a tranquil starting point until an unexpected disaster forces players to venture into uncharted territories. These new lands, representing Britain or Albion, are known for their challenging conditions, including a harsh climate, rebellious tribes, and a significant distance from Rome, which makes governance a daunting task.
In *Anno 117: Pax Romana*, players take on the role of a governor, tasked with navigating these challenges without relying solely on force. The game encourages players to build harmony by respecting and integrating with local customs. A highlight of the gameplay includes the ability to customize ships, allowing strategic choices such as opting for speed with additional oarsmen or bolstering firepower with archery turrets onboard.
*Anno 117: Pax Romana* is scheduled for release in 2025 and will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X platforms, promising a rich and immersive experience for fans of the series.
