The Alienware AW3225QF, first announced during CES 2024, is one of Dell's only two OLED monitors that combines a 4K resolution with an OLED panel. The other is the 27" Alienware AW2725Q, released earlier this year. This monitor features Samsung's QD OLED technology, which offers brighter displays than traditional OLED panels while maintaining the near-infinite response time, contrast ratio, and black levels that OLEDs are renowned for. The Alienware AW3225QF is HDR True Black 400 certified with up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness. It also boasts a factory-calibrated 99.3% DCI-P3 color range, a 1700R curve, a 240Hz refresh rate, and G-Sync certification.
In terms of connectivity, the AW3225QF includes two HDMI 2.1 ports (one with eARC) and one DisplayPort 1.4 port, all capable of 4K at up to 240Hz. Additionally, there are a couple of USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports for attaching peripherals and a single USB Type-C port for charging. Dell backs this monitor with a three-year warranty that includes burn-in protection.
It's important to note that 4K monitors require a powerful GPU. With 4K resolution having 2.25 times more pixels than QHD, to play games at 4K, especially at frame rates up to 240fps, you'll need a gaming PC equipped with at least a GeForce RTX 4070. If your PC is powered by something as robust as an RTX 4080 Super, RTX 4090, or RX 7900XTX, then this monitor would be the perfect complement.
