Free Fire's Winterlands festival returns with a dazzling Aurora display! This year's update brings exciting new features, including the tactical character Koda, frosty tracks for speedy traversal, and an aurora-powered weather system that impacts gameplay.
Winterlands: Aurora – A Closer Look
Koda, hailing from a high-tech arctic region, possesses the unique "Aurora Vision" ability. This allows for increased movement speed and the ability to spot enemies concealed behind cover, even providing a preview of enemy positions during parachuting. His backstory involves a mystical fox mask discovered under an aurora, forging a bond with snow foxes that translates into his battlefield prowess.
The aurora theme is central to this year's Winterlands. Bermuda map receives an aurora-infused makeover, complete with a dynamic Aurora Forecast system. This system introduces buffs based on the forecast, significantly impacting combat strategies.
New Frosty Tracks, icy pathways perfect for quick movement, have been added to Battle Royale and Clash Squad modes. These tracks crisscross key locations like the Festival Clock Tower and Factory in Bermuda, offering tactical advantages while skating. Special Coin Machines along these tracks reward players with 100 FF Coins. In Clash Squad, similar tracks appear in areas such as Katulistiwa, Mill, and Hangar.
Random Aurora Events Add Excitement!
Battle Royale features aurora-enhanced Coin Machines, while Clash Squad introduces Supply Gadgets with an auroral glow. Interacting with these elements completes event quests and grants squad-wide buffs.
Winterlands: Aurora also introduces a fun social element. Squadmates are represented as adorable snowballs on the event interface, adding a playful touch to the collaborative experience. Complete friend-specific tasks to earn rewards like an AWM skin and a Melee Skin.
